Academics Residency Programs The Department of Family & Community Medicine at KU School of Medicine-Wichita sponsors three family medicine residency programs. If your family is like most, every member is going in a different direction on any given day. All new patients will be scheduled with a team of family medicine doctors consisting of residents, faculty and nursing staff. The faculty, staff, and residents are genuinely engaging and work hard to foster community within the program. The Family Medicine Center is responsible for more than 38,000 office visits per year.
